What’s Up With This Site?!

Welcome to Missing Comic: Adventures in Blank City!

What the heck is up with this site!? I may hear you ask.  It’s simple really.

Missing Number: Adventures in Glitch City has always been proud to use the Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-Share Alike remix-friendly license.

The reason for this was twofold.  Firstly, we didn’t want Nintendo suing us for making money sublicensing Pokemon

Secondly, however, we wanted to encourage people to “remix” Missing Number: Adventures in Glitch City, either by changing the dialog, or even hopefully translating the comic into other languages!  Pokemon is enjoyed by people in many different lands… we wanted our comic to be the same.

In fact, that’s 1/2 the reason why we use Wordpress Mew to power our webcomics:  we provide free hosting to artists who want to remix Missing Number: Adventures in Glitch City, as long as they aren’t making *cough* Adult *cough* material.

So, this site will (eventually) provide every issue of Missing Number: Adventures in Glitch City in text-free form.

Alas, I accidentally put the MissingNo I caught next to Cinnabar Island into my personal computer, and it used Murphy’s Law attack on my comic archive.  The upshot is that I have every issue stored.  The downshot is that quite a few of them come with text baked into the final image, instead of in a separate layer, as originally designed.

So some comics will have speech bubbles, but hopefully a wide variety (and any future issues) will be pristine art ripe for the remixing!
